STRONGER YOUth
STRONGER YOUth supports young people in coping with mental health difficulties and developing the socioemotional skills they need to take care of their own wellbeing. At the same time, the project equips youth workers with knowledge, practical approaches and resources to better support young people's mental health.
Project Overview
STRONGER YOUth aims to promote positive youth development by
supporting young people in coping with mental health
difficulties and equipping them with socioemotional skills
that can help them maintain their mental wellbeing.
The project approaches mental health not only as a challenge,
but also as an important resource and skill that can be
understood, strengthened and supported.
Through research, non-formal learning activities and the
development of accessible educational resources, STRONGER
YOUth aims to contribute to healthier, more resilient and
more supportive youth communities.
Why this project is needed
Young people are growing up in a rapidly changing world.
Global events, social pressures, uncertainty and major
changes in everyday life can have a significant impact on
mental wellbeing.
Mental health difficulties often emerge during the
transition to adulthood — a critical period when young
people make important educational decisions, lifestyle
choices and build interpersonal relationships.
Yet many young people are reluctant to seek professional
support because of embarrassment, shame or fear of stigma.
Some may also underestimate their need for outside help
and attempt to deal with difficulties on their own.
STRONGER YOUth responds to this challenge by strengthening
youth workers' understanding of mental health and providing
them with tools and resources to promote wellbeing and
socioemotional development among young people.

Project Journey
Follow the STRONGER YOUth journey as partners from five European countries come together to develop practical approaches, resources and activities supporting young people's mental wellbeing.
Kick-off Meeting
Starting the STRONGER YOUth journey
Partners of the STRONGER YOUth project gathered
in Nicosia for the first in-person project
meeting, officially launching the almost
two-year collaboration.
The meeting brought together organisations from
Poland, Italy, Lithuania, Bulgaria and Cyprus
to establish a shared vision, discuss the
planned activities and lay the foundations for
the development of the project.
Management Meeting
Reviewing progress and planning the next steps
Partners met in Bansko to review the progress
of the STRONGER YOUth project and coordinate
the upcoming tasks and activities.
The meeting provided an opportunity to reflect
on the work completed so far, discuss the next
stages of implementation and ensure that all
partners remained aligned with the project's
objectives.
Transnational Project Meeting
Moving from Work Package 3 towards Work Package 4
The STRONGER YOUth partners met in Rome to review
the status of Work Package 3 and prepare for the
implementation of Work Package 4.
During the meeting, the partnership reviewed the
progress of the project's key outputs. The manual
and website work had been completed, while the
video guidelines were still in progress, with a
revised deadline set for mid-June.
The partnership also reviewed the overall
timeline and confirmed that the project remained
well ahead of the Work Package 3 deadline at the
end of July.

Mental wellbeing is not something young people should have to navigate alone. By building socioemotional skills, increasing awareness and strengthening youth workers' capacity, we can create more supportive environments where young people can thrive.
