Pop.Ed

POP.Ed aims to help youth workers and young people explore and discuss global issues through pop culture. It connects Global Citizenship Education (GCE) with familiar formats such as films and series, music, games, social media, and storytelling.

  • help youth workers build skills and confidence to work on GCE topics

  • support young people to take part as co-creators, not just participants

  • increase understanding of how countries and societies are connected

  • encourage critical thinking, democratic participation, and intercultural understanding

  • use inclusive and participatory methods in youth work

  • strengthen cooperation between partner organisations

  • create more opportunities for young people to share their views with decision-makers

  • Methodological Guidelines: a framework with competence areas, learning outcomes, and suggested methods

  • Curriculum: GCE learning materials with case studies and self-assessment tools

  • Toolkit: step-by-step workshop plans and activities for non-formal education

  • Youth Manifesto: a document created with young people, including stories, key concerns, and policy recommendations, supported by multimedia content
